{"id":55261,"date":"2023-03-25T00:40:28","date_gmt":"2023-03-25T00:40:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esport.contestofspeed.com\/?page_id=55261"},"modified":"2023-04-08T22:14:19","modified_gmt":"2023-04-08T22:14:19","slug":"7-stewarding","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/esport.contestofspeed.com\/index.php\/preface\/7-stewarding\/","title":{"rendered":"7 \u2013 Stewarding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column]<div  class=\"ezy-heading text-left  \" ><span class=\"ezy-text-tag heading-sub-title d-block font-weight-normal has-skin-text-color text-color-primary\">Contest of Speed Esport event - Rules and Regulations<\/span><h2 class=\"ezy-text-tag main-heading-text main-heading-text font-weight-normal has-skin-text-color \">Stewarding<\/h2><\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<b>7-1 Reporting Incidents<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>7-1.1<\/strong> An incident a driver deems worthy of investigation may be submitted to the stewards after the race in the dedicated channel.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-1.2<\/strong> An incident without own POV footage will not be investigated.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-1.3<\/strong> Each incident should have it&#8217;s own incident report ticket.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-1.4<\/strong> It is mandatory to have the Race Director\/TAS of all your warning(s) recorded, screen-shots are also acceptable. MUST include footage of warnings\/penalties wanted removed.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-1.4.1<\/strong> Incidents will not be reviewed in the following circumstances:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<ul>\n<li>Phone footage of poor quality (footage must include all corners of the screen and text must be readable;<\/li>\n<li>Time stamped videos will be ignored in case no proper stamp has been added in the ticket.<\/li>\n<li>Sending in highlights and\/or replays of incidents does not qualify as footage and will be dismissed. Only driver POV is acceptable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>7.1.4.2 <\/strong>No footage penalties are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<ul>\n<li>1st offence- 1pp<\/li>\n<li>2nd offence &#8211; 2pp<\/li>\n<li>3rd offence &#8211; QB + 3pp<\/li>\n<li>4th offence onwards &#8211; RB + 3pp<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>7-1.5<\/strong> Drivers have until 10pm GMT (EU tiers) \/ 10pm EST (AM tiers) the day following their race to submit incidents.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-1.6<\/strong> A driver can report another for any type of incident excluding car contact. In that case, only the drivers involved in the incident can report it.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-1.7<\/strong> The livestream cannot be used as primary onboard footage. However, it can be used to report drivers who cut the pit entry\/exit line, retire on track, crash on purpose, etc.<\/p>\n<p><b>7-2 Requested Footage<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>7-2.1<\/strong> As soon as the incident has been reported the lead steward will request footage from all drivers involved in reported footage, this is regardless whether the incident is clear or not.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-2.2<\/strong> Drivers who are asked for requested footage have 24 hours to send it in. This footage should be added directly into the report from where the footage is requested.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-2.3<\/strong> Any driver who does not send in requested footage within the deadline time (24 hours) will receive 1pp on top of any incurring penalties from the incident.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-2.4<\/strong> Footage sent in after the deadline will be deemed inadmissible however may still be used as evidence in order to provide the stewards with a better chance to make more accurate decisions.<\/p>\n<p><b>7-3 Steward Decisions <\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>7-3.1<\/strong> Following all footage being sent in stewards will review their opinions and come to a decision.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-3.2<\/strong> Drivers are expected to respect each stewards decision, it is inevitable that some decisions will go for you and some against you. If you feel any actions\/decisions are wrong, you are expected to address the situation calmly and maturely.<\/p>\n<p><b>7-4 Appeal Process <\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>7-4.1<\/strong> Drivers have 24 hours to appeal the stewards decision so long as they are directly involved.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-4.2<\/strong> In order for an incident to be reviewed again, the driver must either bring new relevant evidence (footage not submitted in time or not submitted at all will NOT count) or highlight a mistake in the findings. If the driver fails to do so, the appeal will be dismissed.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-4.3<\/strong> Each driver will start the season with 3 appeals. If an appeal is won they will keep their original number of appeals, however if they lose it will be deducted by 1.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-4.4<\/strong> Appeal stewards have the right to change the original stewards decision.<\/p>\n<p><b>7-5 Penalties<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>7-5.1<\/strong> League admins\/stewards reserve the right to refer incidents that have not been reported.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-5.2<\/strong> The stewards may penalise drivers for incidents not reported for incidents not covered by this ruleset.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-5.3<\/strong> Drivers deemed to have caused an incident may be awarded post-race penalties by the stewards.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-5.4<\/strong> The stewards may impose any of the penalties below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<ul>\n<li>NFA (No Further Action);<\/li>\n<li>Dangerous Driving Reprimand;<\/li>\n<li>Reversal of Positions;<\/li>\n<li>Reprimand *3 reprimands will result in qualifying ban;<\/li>\n<li>5 seconds + 1pp on virtual license;<\/li>\n<li>10 seconds + 2pp on virtual license;<\/li>\n<li>15 seconds + 3pp on virtual license;<\/li>\n<li>20 seconds + 4pp on virtual license;<\/li>\n<li>Disqualification;<\/li>\n<li>Qualifying Ban for the next race;<\/li>\n<li>Disqualification from the race;<\/li>\n<li>Race Ban;<\/li>\n<li>Multiple Race Ban;<\/li>\n<li>Removal from the league.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>7-5.5<\/strong> If a driver happens to miss the race in which a penalty was to be served, the penalty will carry over to the next race that they attend.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-5.6<\/strong> Drivers having served or having to serve a penalty in an event that gets cancelled will have to serve their penalty on the next round.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-5.7<\/strong> Drivers should respect the decisions made by the stewards. Anyone seen to be insulting or abusing the stewards over a decision will be punished depending on the seriousness of the offence.<\/p>\n<p><b>7-6 License\/Penalties Points System <\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>7-6.1<\/strong> We will be using a \u201cMinor, Moderate, Major and Severe\u201d penalty system which will be applied to all incidents that happen during the race. The penalty points system is a way of keeping track of a driver\u2019s record of breaking the rules. Penalty points will be applied alongside normal race penalties.<br \/>\n<strong>7-6.2<\/strong> When a driver is awarded a penalty, they will also receive license\/penalty points.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-6.3<\/strong> The number of license points awarded for an incident depends on the category it falls under.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>7-6.4<\/strong> The 4 categories are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<ul>\n<li>Minor offence (No\/small time loss, not dangerous) = 1 point per offence;<\/li>\n<li>Moderate offence (Medium time loss, dangerous, dirty driving with no\/small consequences) = 2 points per offence;<\/li>\n<li>Major offence (Heavy time loss, highly dangerous, dirty driving with significant consequences) = 3 points per offence;<\/li>\n<li>Severe offence (Heavy time loss, extremely dangerous, unsportsmanlike behaviour with or without consequences) = 4 points.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>7-6.5<\/strong> License points are reset every season.<\/p>\n<p><b>7-7 Penalty Point Structure<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<ul>\n<li>6 penalty points &#8211; Qualifying Ban;<\/li>\n<li>10 penalty points &#8211; Race Ban;<\/li>\n<li>14 penalty points &#8211; Race Ban;<\/li>\n<li>18 Points &#8211; League Review League Admins reserve the right to ban drivers outright if there is need to.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>7-8\u00a0<\/b><strong>Qualifying bans and race ban<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>7-8.1<\/strong> In case of qualifying bans, the driver who got the penalty has to server the penalty in the next race.<br \/>\n<strong>7-8.1.1<\/strong> In case the driver who got the qualifying ban is not racing in the next event, the team has to nominate a driver who serves the qualifying ban on behalf of that driver. (Only one driver can qualify in the first race after a qualifying ban has been issued).<br \/>\n<strong>7-8.2<\/strong> In case of a race ban, the driver who got the penalty has to server the penalty in the next race.<br \/>\n<strong>7-8.2.1<\/strong> In case the driver who got the race ban is not racing in the next event, the team has to nominate a driver who serves the race ban on behalf of that driver.
