{"id":55255,"date":"2023-03-25T00:39:45","date_gmt":"2023-03-25T00:39:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esport.contestofspeed.com\/?page_id=55255"},"modified":"2023-03-25T01:38:21","modified_gmt":"2023-03-25T01:38:21","slug":"4-race-track","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/esport.contestofspeed.com\/index.php\/preface\/4-race-track\/","title":{"rendered":"4 \u2013 Race Track"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column]<div  class=\"ezy-heading text-left  \" ><span class=\"ezy-text-tag heading-sub-title d-block font-weight-normal has-skin-text-color text-color-primary\">Contest of Speed Esport event - Rules and Regulations<\/span><h2 class=\"ezy-text-tag main-heading-text main-heading-text font-weight-normal has-skin-text-color \">Race Track<\/h2><\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<b>4-1 Pit Entry, Pitlane, Pit Exit <\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>4-1.1<\/strong> The section of track between the first safety car line and the beginning of the pit lane is designated the \u201cpit entry\u201d.<br \/>\n<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><strong>4-1.1.1 <\/strong>Except in cases of\u00a0force majeure (accepted as such by the Stewards), any tyre of a car entering the pitlane must not cross, in any direction, any line painted on the track at the pit entry for the purpose of separating cars entering the pitlane from those on the track. Dashed lines (e.g.\u00a0first part of the France entry) are excluded from this rule.<br \/>\n<\/span><strong>4-1.2<\/strong> The section of track between the end of the pit lane and the second safety car line is designated the \u201cpit exit\u201d.<br \/>\n<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><strong>4-1.2.1<\/strong> Except in cases of\u00a0force majeure (accepted as such by the Stewards), any tyre of a car exiting the pitlane must not cross any line painted on the track at the pit exit for the purpose of separating cars leaving the pitlane from those on the track.<br \/>\n<\/span><strong>4-1.3<\/strong> Any driver intending to enter or to leave the pits must make sure it is safe to do so.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>4-1.4<\/strong> It is the responsibility of the driver behind to not crash into the car in front.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>4-1.5<\/strong> In cases where the driver entering the pits has greater speed than those continuing around the track (e.g. Canada), drivers should assume that the car ahead is continuing on.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>4-1.6<\/strong> When committed to the pitlane entry, crossing the line separating the pit entry and the track to stay out on track is prohibited.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>4-1.7<\/strong> Except in the cases of force majeure, when pitting, crossing the line separating the pit entry and the track with a full tyre is prohibited.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>4-1.8<\/strong> When exiting the pit, crossing the line separating the pit exit and the track with a full tyre is prohibited.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>4-1.9<\/strong> Overtakes in the &#8216;pitlane&#8217; are allowed however 2 wheels must remain in between the white lines at all times.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>4-1.10<\/strong> Slowing to an unnecessary speed in the pitlane is deemed dangerous and unacceptable. Doing so may result in a post race penalty (stewards discretion).<\/p>\n<p><b>4-2 Track Limits <\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>4-2.1<\/strong> The white lines that define the track edges are considered to be part of the track but the kerbs are not.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>4-2.2<\/strong> Drivers must make every reasonable effort to stay on the track at all times and may not deliberately leave the track without justifiable reason.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>4-2.3<\/strong> A driver will be judged to have left the track if no part of their car remains in contact with the track.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>4-2.4<\/strong> A driver who has left the track may rejoin it only and only if it is safe to do so, and without gaining an advantage.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>4-2.5<\/strong> If a driver is deemed to have gained an advantage by leaving the track, they must make every effort to give back the whole of any advantage gained.
